To study and implement the guiding principles from the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and to fulfill the requirements of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Science and Technology's “Notice on Further Improving the Management Services for Typical Substantive Industry-University-Research Alliances in Liaoning Province” (Liao Ke Ban Fa [2023] No. 11), efforts are being made to advance the high-quality development of typical substantive industry-university-research alliances.
On June 6, 2023, led by the lead entity of the Liaoning Shangyao North Pharmaceutical High-End Formulation Industry-University-Research Alliance, Shanghai Pharmaceutical Group (Benxi) North Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and following discussions with member Shenyang Pharmaceutical University and other member companies, Shenyang Dashan Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. was approved to join the alliance as a new member.
Mission of the “Liaoning Shangyao North Pharmaceutical High-End Formulation Industry-University-Research Alliance”
To enhance the level of high-end formulation R&D, improve the efficiency of pharmaceutical technology transfer, promote public well-being, advance the economic and social development of China Pharmaceutical City (Benxi), and contribute to the revitalization of Liaoning Province.
Objectives of the “Liaoning Shangyao North Pharmaceutical High-End Formulation Industry-University-Research Alliance”
To strengthen exchanges and cooperation among alliance members in areas such as technology, product development, and talent cultivation, creating complementary advantages and achieving mutual benefits and win-win outcomes. Additionally, the alliance will explore and reform talent development models for the industry. The collective goal is to advance research on key and core technologies in high-end formulations, improve the efficiency of developing innovative and improved drugs in this field, and accelerate product time-to-market.
Responsibilities of the Lead Entity and Member Units
Provide necessary professional talent support, as well as facilities and space, to facilitate alliance activities.
Where conditions permit, accept students from member unit Shenyang Pharmaceutical University for internships. Provide necessary training on safety, environmental protection, GMP, behavioral standards, professional knowledge, and skills to intern students, and purchase personal accident insurance for them during the internship period.
Provide a platform for alliance exchange and training, strengthen corporate talent development, and offer suggestions and plans to Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, a member unit, for optimizing curriculum and improving talent development models.
Responsibilities of Shenyang Pharmaceutical University (Member Unit)
Provide necessary professional talent support, as well as facilities and space, to facilitate alliance activities.
Strengthen training for students in areas such as safety, environmental protection, GMP, behavioral standards, professional knowledge, and skills.
Actively engage in exchanges, cooperation, and talent development among alliance members, continuously enhancing the overall capacity of the faculty, improving teaching quality, and providing talent support for alliance entities.
The “Liaoning Shangyao North Pharmaceutical High-End Formulation Industry-University-Research Alliance” aims to harness the collective strengths of all member units, achieving a 1+1 > 2 synergy. The mission is challenging: to break through key and difficult technologies in the high-end formulation field, overcome talent constraints, and explore and pilot new models for talent cultivation in the biomedical industry. Alliance members must strengthen cooperation, actively invest in talent and technology, and ensure the standardized and efficient operation of alliance activities.
